Ms. Fine Point, also known as Dyisha Parker, was born in the nation’s capital, Washington, DC.
Dyisha was raised as a “military brat,” and was raised all over, but considers Hampton, VA, to
be her home. As an Air Force dependent, she has lived in Virginia, North Carolina, Nebraska,
Florida and Okinawa, Japan, just to name a few. Dyisha has always wanted to write and has
even written a few poems but didn’t know where to start. She was scared when asked the first
time to become a part of the Diamond Writers, however, she was ready when it was time for
Beneath the Crown to be written. As a contributing author for both Beneath the Crown and Valid
Transparency, Dyisha has seen growth in her writing and healing journey. Through every storm,
Dyisha holds on to her faith in God and leans on her tribe. Dyisha considers her faith and family
to be most important to her. She enjoys working out with her Shock Performance gym family,
where she gets her “me” time throughout the week. She also participates in Tae Kwon Do,
where she, along with her daughter, received their 1 st Degree Black Belt in August of 2023.
When she’s not traveling with her active daughter going to dance competitions, you can find her
spending time with her family, friends, sorority sisters or playing the piano and singing. As an
avid encourager, Dyisha is quick to lend a listening ear, provide words of encouragement, even
when going through her own storms. Dyisha believes we are better together and not meant to
do life alone. She can’t wait to see what’s in store for 2024!
