Carmen Reyes is a mother of three young men.

For over a decade she has committed her  life’s work to making a difference in the lives of children, youth, women, and families. She understands that one thing in life is inevitable, change, and she truly believes that life doesn't get easier, instead we get smarter, stronger, and become more equipped to navigate it.

As a licensed social worker, she supports teen parents’ transition to college. At sixteen she gave birth to her first child, and knows first hand the need for wrap around services. After her twin sister passed away at the age of 33, and she took guardianship of two of her children, her views of herself and the world were altered, leaving her in a new reality.

Throughout her life, writing has brought her comfort, but after her sister’s death, writing became a sanctuary and a place to hone her skill and become an alchemist, turning the darkness of grief into a breath of life. Carmen has learned the value of sharing her voice and her experiences with others, and is committed to supporting others in finding their voice so that they can create the life that they desire, because we all deserve to have a life we love.
